Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Aila Writer collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the website or use the writing service.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and account identifiers used to create and authenticate your account.
- Writing and project content: book titles, subtitles, intended audience, chapter titles, notes, manuscript text, and content you choose to submit for AI assistance.
- AI usage records: the service records daily AI request counts to enforce the configured usage limit. The application sends prompts and related writing notes when you explicitly request an AI outline or draft.
- Technical and usage information: the site includes Vercel Analytics. The hosting and analytics providers may process website request and usage information as part of providing those services.
- Support messages: information you include when you contact us.
How we use information
We use account information to authenticate you; project content to save, display, edit, and export your writing; prompts and notes to provide AI-assisted outlines or drafts when requested; usage counts to apply request limits; and technical information to operate, secure, and understand use of the service.
Storage and service providers
Aila Writer uses Supabase for authentication and for storing account-associated book and chapter records. The database policies restrict access to authenticated users and apply row-level access rules to writing records. Supabase Auth also handles sign-in email delivery through the email configuration for the project.
When you request AI assistance, the prompt and relevant notes are sent through Vercel AI Gateway using the model configured for the service. The current application configuration identifies the model as moonshotai/kimi-k3. Vercel and the model provider process that request to return generated text. Their own privacy, retention, and model-use terms also apply; Aila Writer does not control those providers’ independent practices.
The website includes Vercel Analytics. If the optional search feature is enabled, search queries and documents submitted to that feature are processed by the Aila Writer search service and Upstash Search. Hosting, deployment, and infrastructure providers may process information as needed to deliver and protect the service.
We do not need AI processing to save or edit a manuscript. AI assistance is initiated by the user through the writing features.
Retention and deletion
Account and writing records are retained while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information and writing content, contact aila@ailaxx.com from the account email address. We may need to verify the request. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies held in provider backups or required operational records; those copies are handled under the applicable provider retention schedules and legal requirements.
Security
We use authenticated access and database row-level security for account writing records. Service credentials are intended to remain server-side. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password for your email account and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to request AI assistance and what text to submit for that request. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, subject to identity verification and applicable law. You can also contact us with questions about this policy.
Children
Aila Writer is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version will be published on this page. For privacy questions or requests, email aila@ailaxx.com.
